【Preface】 Since its inauguration in 2004, “Shanghai International Mobile Phone Industry Exhibition& Seminar” has been held annually in Shanghai. Over the recent years, it has been developed into a well-known exhibition on the Chinese mobile phone industry with a good deal of established exhibitors and customers. It is not only a grand trade fair for all levels of mobile phone enterprises to gather annually, but also a prime place for allthe industry insiders to join in. “The 5th China (Shanghai) International Mobile Phone Industry Exhibition & Seminar 2008” will be held July 9-11, 2008 at Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center in Shanghai, P. R. China. The total show area will be 18,000 sq.m. with 900 standard booths. It is anticipated that a large-scaled, brands-gathering industry event will be present to you. 【Splendid Review of 2007】 Last event July 11-13, 2007 came to a close successfully at Shanghai Everbright Convention & Exhibition Center. The total show area increased 6000 sq.m. in 2006up to 12000 sq.m. in 2007. The number of exhibitors increased 210 exhibitors in 2006 up to 486 exhibitors, creating the best historic record. The number of visitors increased 28638 persons in 2006 up to 44862 persons. The high growth rate of theExpo has proved the leading position of the Chinese mobile phone industry in the Expo. According to the survey of exhibitors made by the Organizing Committee during andafter the exhibition, 82% of exhibitors were satisfied with the exhibit effect, 80% of exhibitors showed strong interest in participating in the next event continuously. 70% of them thought that this Expo has much more advantages than other exhibitions of the same kind.
